MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of a General Education Development (GED) Testing Program. College experience preferred. A high level of professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish may be required in some schools. Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Proficient in the use of technology (i.e., e-learning software, digital and social media). Understanding and respect of the diversity of families’ economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds and situations. Ability to host parent and staff meetings. Experience with developing collaborative partners and building relationships with constituents in the community. Ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends.

 

GOAL

Identify and implement evidence-based strategies of family engagement to support student achievement. Develop, administer and continually build a program that provides resources for parents to become engaged in their children’s education. Provide supporting services to build parent capacity to meet the educational needs of students.
